The article explores the historical evolution of business analytics from the Industrial Revolution to the Digital
Age. It highlights how early practices of record-keeping, statistical analysis, and production management during the
Industrial Revolution laid the foundation for modern data-driven decision-making. The study traces the transformation of
analytical tools through the development of accounting systems, operations research, and management sciences in the
20th century, leading up to the rise of big data, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics in the 21st century. Special
emphasis is placed on lessons learned from historical stages of business analytics, demonstrating how past innovations
continue to shape contemporary approaches to strategic management and competitive advantage
