THE ROLE OF CLOUD COMPUTING IN ENHANCING ENTERPRISE PERFORMANCE

Cloud computing has become one of the most influential technological innovations driving digital
transformation in modern enterprises. It provides organizations with scalable computing resources, flexible
service delivery models, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions. This study aims to examine the role of cloud
computing in enhancing enterprise performance and to analyze its impact on operational efficiency, business
agility, innovation, and competitiveness. The research methodology is based on a systematic literature review,
comparative analysis of cloud adoption practices, and evaluation of enterprise performance indicators reported
in previous studies. The findings indicate that cloud computing significantly improves organizational productivity,
reduces operational costs, enhances collaboration, and supports data-driven decision-making. However,
challenges related to data security, privacy, compliance, and migration complexity continue to affect cloud
adoption. The study concludes that successful implementation of cloud computing requires strategic planning,
robust governance frameworks, and continuous investment in cybersecurity and workforce development.
