“Yashil transport” atamasi atrof-muhitga salbiy ta’siri kam yoki umuman bo‘lmagan transport
turini anglatadi. Yashil transport transport tizimini boshqarishda qo‘llaniladigan kam uglerodli strategiyalar va
ekologik toza texnologiyalar majmuasidir. Sayyoramizni muhofaza qilish va tabiiy resurslarning tiklanishiga
imkon berish uchun atmosferaga chiqariladigan uglerod chiqindilarini kamaytirish zarur. Transport sektorini
“yashillashtirish” global rivojlanish jarayonlarining ekologik yo‘nalishini kuchaytirish bilan bog‘liq bo‘lib, energiya
sarfining kamayishi hamda “yashil” elektr transport vositalari sektorining jadal rivojlanishi bilan tavsiflanadi.
Yashil transport sektorining jadal o‘sishi, asosan, barqaror rivojlanish strategiyalarini amalga oshirish doirasida
davlat tomonidan ko‘rsatilayotgan moliyaviy ko‘mak bilan qo‘llab-quvvatlanadi. Yashil transport hozirgi global
isish sharoitida ekologik jihatdan eng maqbul yechimlardan biri hisoblanadi
