This thesis examines the critical role of global value chains (GVCs) in enhancing international trade
competitiveness. It analyzes how GVCs facilitate specialization, cost reduction, and innovation by distributing production
stages across countries. Particular attention is given to Uzbekistan’s integration into GVCs, focusing on its export potential
in textiles and agriculture. The research also highlights major challenges–such as geopolitical tensions, environmental
impacts, and supply chain disruptions–and proposes strategic solutions like digital platforms and sustainable logistics.
The study underscores GVCs as a pathway to sustainable economic growth for developing nations.
