The transition to a green economy is a fundamental shift toward sustainable development, balancing economic
growth with environmental protection. This paper explores the historical evolution of the green economy worldwide,
its current trends, and its implementation in Uzbekistan and the broader Central Asian region. It examines key policy
frameworks, investments, and challenges in transitioning to a green economy. The study concludes with recommendations
for strengthening Uzbekistan’s green economy
