This article examines the current state of agritourism in Uzbekistan and analyzes its potential as a strategic
tool for sustainable rural development. It reviews existing challenges in the sector and explores effective approaches
to strengthen agritourism as part of the national tourism industry. Special attention is given to the role of agritourism in
improving rural livelihoods, creating alternative income sources for farming households, and supporting the diversification
of tourism beyond traditional cultural and historical attractions. Based on these findings, the article proposes practical
strategies to enhance infrastructure development, promote active community involvement, improve training and capacity
building for rural residents, and expand government support mechanisms. The research ultimately emphasizes that a
well-organized and sustainably managed agritourism sector can contribute significantly to economic growth, cultural
preservation, and environmental sustainability in Uzbekistan’s rural regions.
