Abstract

The article explores the potential of Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) as a
driver of accelerated economic development. A comparative analysis is conducted on the experiences of Vietnam and
Kazakhstan, which joined the WTO at different times and faced similar challenges and transformations. Special attention
is given to export diversification strategies, support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), institutional reforms,
and the creation of favorable conditions for attracting investment. Based on the analysis, practical recommendations are
proposed for Uzbekistan to minimize risks and maximize the benefits of integration into the global trading system
