The concept of Society 5.0 represents a transformative societal shift where advanced technologies such as
artificial intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and robotics converge to create a super-smart society. This
vision aims to harmonize technological advancements with human-centric development, optimizing both industrial growth
and societal welfare. For the BRICS-T countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and expanding members),
Society 5.0 offers a unique opportunity to address socio-economic challenges, boost productivity, and foster sustainable
development. The integration of these technologies into industries, governance, and daily life has the potential to reshape
the economic landscape of these nations, enabling them to transition from traditional models to more advanced, tech-driven
economies. However, achieving this requires strategic investments in digital infrastructure, workforce development, and
international collaboration. This paper explores the implications of Society 5.0 for the BRICS-T economies and outlines
the potential pathways for leveraging digital transformation to secure long-term economic prosperity and environmental
sustainability.
