Currently, the events and developments taking place in the global political arena significantly affect the economies
of many countries. Due to the political situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russia–Ukraine conflict, a number
of difficulties have arisen in the use of the main transport and logistics corridors passing through these regions. This article
highlights the economic significance of the Trans-Afghan multimodal corridor project, which could serve as an optimal
solution to the current situation. The development of this corridor is of great importance for Uzbekistan, as it represents
the shortest route for the country to gain access to the sea
